Bishop Dag Heward Mills renders unqualified apology to the king of Ashantis His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II, after he criticised the king’s ruling at a sermon he preached.
There was an audio which circulated on social media which was alleged to be voice of the Bishop criticising the king’s ruling. This didn’t go down well for the people of Ashanti, as they felt it was an offence to talk to the king in such manner and criticize his subjects.
According to the audio which contained alleged Bishop voice, questioned Otumfour’s impact and legacy beyond the yearly celebration of his reign.
The alleged audio has offended the king’s subjects with many pouring out their anger across social media platforms.
It is alleged some offenders are planning on attacking the branches of Lighthouse Chapel which the Bishop is the founder. This has called for concern of the Bishop to come out with unqualified apology.
According to the Bishop and founder of Lighthouse Chapel, that alleged audio was recorded 20 years ago, but had been taken out of context maliciously circulated.
